Two ways control shows up in the real world.
Grid protection. On our 26-inverter school site, a single sensing point at the incoming mains monitors voltage and can remotely disable every inverter across the site if it moves outside the acceptable range — one point of sensing, site-wide protection.
Market curtailment. A 5 MW solar farm in South Australia was paying to generate whenever spot prices went negative. Autonomy Power now calculates the plant's true net revenue every interval — spot price plus LGC value — and curtails only when generating genuinely costs money, restarting the moment it doesn't. No human in the loop, and an estimated tens of thousands of dollars saved a year.
